How does "Practical Shooting" benefit you?

Civilians
In most instances, civilians seek firearms and training for one of two reasons: 1) hunting, or 2) self-defense.  In either case, the fundamentals of firearm operation and safety are paramount.  However, gun owners seeking a level of self-defense have a monumental amount of responsibility, which requires an added level of awareness and training.

In self-defense, split-second decisions must be made.  Operating a firearm successfully under this type of pressure requires that you know your weapon intimately.  Your brain needs to make important decisions (shoot/don't shoot) instead of being worried about the steps to chamber a round.

Practical Shooting can help address these needs by providing the basic training you need to successfully operate your handgun as well as improve your marksmanship.  Advanced classes are also available for helping your accuracy, concealed carry, and improving defensive shooting skills.

Law Enforcement
The greatest liability a department has is the firearm, and most officers only "use it" once a year ( some times longer!) and never really train with it. If you noticed, I stated "use it" because most departments only have their officers show up once a year to "qualify".  The Supreme Court has ruled that law enforcement agencies shall train with firearms to include decision making (shoot/don't shoot) and multiple targets. The courts have also ruled that qualifying is not training.

Practical Shooting can help provide the training necessary to improve officers' skills and exercise their decision making abilities, effectively reducing the department's liability.

Practical Shooting can provide:

bulletFirearms refresher training courses
bulletTraining records
bulletFewer headaches and lower budgets for administrators
bulletNO equipment purchases
bulletNO ongoing maintenance

The benefits of outsourcing this type of training to us are overwhelming.  Contact us today to see how we can help your department.
